GISPROCESS starts the KlimatGIS change project

Interest for locally relevant data models, examples of use, and techniques for effective analysis and decision making, is increasing. More and more municipalities and regions are beginning work to enhance their preparedness and reduce their vulnerability to future climate change.

At the same time, researchers are developing new and sophisticated climate models, and more detailed data is becoming available. To further research findings being put to practical use, GISPROCESS and Swedish Development Council for Geographic Information, Utvecklingsrådet fõr Landskapsinformation, (ULI) have started the creation of a platform for collaboration on climate adaptation and GIS.

GISPROCESS is the initiator of the KlimatGIS change project, which is being developed together with ULI, to promote collaboration between research on climate adaptation and social planning.
